As the General Manager at Coral & Coco, I direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of our property management listings in Curacao and Aruba. My responsibilities include leading a dedicated team to ensure optimal performance and service delivery, formulating strategies to maximize homeowners' revenues, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to all our guests. Additionally, I remain in charge of our onboarding processes, online distribution channel management, and maintaining and strengthening relationships with account managers and other key stakeholders.

As Marketing & Projects Manager I handle a wide variety of projects together with our dedicated team, which will improve the positioning of Coral & Coco (formerly known as Bnbmanager Curaçao) within the international vacation homes market and the local long term rental market. Also, I am responsible for all onboarding activities, online distribution channels and maintaining close contact with our several account managers.

Coral & Coco Curaçao (formerly known as Bnbmanager) is a fast-growing company originated in Amsterdam. With a savvy business model, bnbmanager supports property owners (B2C and B2B) in renting their homes to guests while making use of various advertising channels. Support for the house owners entails: advertising management, yield management, cleaning, key management, customer support and hosting.

The minor Marketing and Management in Asia focuses on developing the theoretical knowledge and competencies in the identification, evaluation and solution of problems encountered in global marketing and management, with a special focus on Asia and the ASEAN region. During a period of ten weeks myself and my fellow students from different Stenden University locations all over the world will follow workshops, lectures and guest lectures that contribute to our final assignments and will provide us with better insight about marketing in Asia. The examination of this minor will consist of: Student- Led Seminar focussed on ASEAN business culture, and creating a marketing plan for the Asian market.

The minor Doing Business in China is a ten weeks minor program taking place at Dongguan university of technology. Together with nine fellow students from Stenden University coming from different locations in the world. We where the first students that contributed to this new collaboration between Stenden and DGUT. The major elements of the minor are preparing a business plan for the Chinese market based on local research, learning Chinese (Mandarin) language and personal and (business) cultural development. In order to get to know more background about doing business in China, several field trips in Dongguan, Shanghai and Guangzhou were organised.

Secondary part-time job as supervisor in in this bar/bistro. Major responsibilities and tasks as supervisor were: managing mainly evening shifts, handling guest complaints, starting and closing cash register and ensure that the entire workplace is tidy and clean according to rules and regulations.

Fourth academic year, practical learning module for vakschool Wageningen. Operating full-time for a period of six months as an intern support executive of the financial controlling department. During this internship I developed an improvement plan focused on food and beverage cost control for Carlton Beach Hotel. My major responsibilities and tasks were: dealing with telephone queries, accounts payable, accounts receivable administration, assisting in providing management reports and charts, assisting with month-end activities. During this internship I intensely worked with computer programs such as Word, Excel, Fidelio and Opera.

Third academic year, practical learning module for vakschool Wageningen. Co-operating with the start- up of the leisure and hospitality side of this newly developed resort at Otrabanda, Curacao. Working and learning about all departments resort. During this internship I worked in mainly three different departments: front-office, marketing and food and beverages. During this internship I got al lot of freedom to create and start- up new processes and projects. Some examples are: social media campaign, dealing with OTA’s and other agencies, designing, creating and implementing the food and beverage menu for the resort.
