Zhaoliang Li, PHD_Medicinal Chemistry

Zhaoliang Li, PHD in medicinal chemistry, is working in Biolexis as a senior scientist for drug discovery and development targeting all kinds of cancers. The main work is drug design with FIELDS platform from hit to lead to preclinical candidate. Dr. Li also designs the synthetic routes for NCE and synthesizes the important NCE, leads and candidates. Once the lead is ready after screening of activity, selectivity and PK, Dr. Li will develop the lead to a preclinical candidate from DMPK, mouse model validation to toxicity assessment. Finally Dr. Li will file IND and put the candidate to clinical trials.

Zhaoliang Li, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow in Hari Lab in Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI), University of Utah from June 2020 to June 2022. He is working on small molecules for drug discovery and development, including designing novel chemical entities (NCE) through ICM, synthesis of NCE and optimization of novel chemical scaffolds and fragments based on the SAR through ICM. Dr. Li also specializes in analysis of NMR (1HNMR, 13CNMR, H, H-COSY, HSQC, and HMBC), LC-MS data of small molecules and data of PK, PD and animal models.

Dr. Li was a postdoctoral fellow at Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGEN) from November 2017 to May 2020. The TGEN team (Sharma Lab) focused on developing small molecules and biologics for cancer. He is working on small molecules for drug discovery and development, including designing novel chemical entities (NCE), synthesis of NCE and optimization of novel chemical scaffolds and fragments based on the SAR through ICM. Dr. Li also specializes in analysis of NMR (1HNMR, 13CNMR, H, H-COSY, HSQC, and HMBC), LC-MS data of small molecules and data of PK, PD and animal models.
