Developed various remote management software for wireless(2G CDMA, 3G WCDMA) and wired(fiber-optics) telecommunication network equipments. Professional service customers included vendors like LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, Alcatel, Motorola and telecom operators like KT, SKT, and LGU+. I have strong understanding on management issues like FCAPS(Fault/Configuration/Accounting/Performance/Security) management and telecommunication network. Those softwares were either embedded inside real equipments or deployed on management networks.

Developed 10Gbps(fiber-optics uplink) switching router(aka Metro Ethernet switching router) near to Fast Ethernet(100Mbps) Internet connectivity service subscribers. It was based on either VxWorks RTOS or MontaVista embedded Linux and provided wire-speed unicast routing, multicast routing, DHCP server, DiffServ QoS, IGMP snooping, port trunking, and various remote management capabilities. I have strong understanding about microcontroller, BSP, RTOS, embedded system software, firmware & Linux kernel development, IP routing, multicast IP routing, and TCP/IP networking. The networking devices were purchased by various Internet connectivity service providers such as KT, SKT, Hanaro Telecom, Nuri Telecom, and so on.

For the recent two years, developed Tizen Native C++ framework and successfully launched Galaxy Gear 2 smartwatches which were based on Tizen and ARM CPU. Tizen is an embedded Linux platform for mobile devices. Also maintained C++ coding style guidelines for maintainable and high-quality code, conducted thorough code reviews for submitted code, and developed g-test based automatic testing framework. Was a tech lead of very small team(4 members). Development process was very agile and fast-paced. Also developed web service-based remote management system for enterprise printers and system air conditioning system. It should scale up to 100,000 devices. I made it work through company firewalls because enterprise printers reside behind company firewalls by tweaking HTTP and SOAP protocol and achieved scalability by implementing a simple yet effective load distribution mechanism. The remote management system was bundled with Samsung enterprise printers.

Designed 10Gbps integrated network security appliance Integrated network security appliance is a network security device which combines firewall function, virus and malware screening, spam filtering, web filtering into one device. It was a key issue to distribute several million of TCP/UDP sessions into multi computers as uniformly as possible to meet high performance and availability requirements. I designed a hashing algorithm which could be working at Linux kernel and achieve the goal of uniform session distribution.
