This includes operationalizing threat intelligence from internal and external threat feeds, Geolocation based blocking, URL Categorization, Malware detection, MITRE event classification and other innovative threat detection features on Cisco firewalls.

Experienced security professional working in Cisco's Network Security team that develops threat centric features for Cisco's Next Gen Firewall(NGFW), NGIPS and the Firepower Management Center(FMC). Notable Projects: Designed and developed Cisco's Threat Intelligence Director from a POC to an actual feature on Cisco's Firepower Management Center (6.2.2 release), that can ingest intelligence feeds in various formats, ex. Stix, Stix over Taxii or simple lists and deploying it to Cisco NGFW/NGIPS. Developed algorithms to ingest threat intelligence efficiently and correlate on complex indicators.. Experienced in No-SQL databases (Mongo & Redis), optimizing their performance based on deployment scenarios. I have worked on implementing diverse features from URL filtering to REST API on Firepower. Experienced in Java, C++ and Python. Delivered presentations and interactive challenges (#PlayProtectDefend Challenge) that demonstrate what Cisco Security products can do at Cisco Live Europe & US 2018-2020, DevNet Create 2017-18, SEVT 2017, Cisco Impact 2018-2019, BlackHat 2018-19 & RSA 2020.
