Proud to work on Apple Vision Pro with the world class team focusing on two optical components: main pass through Lens and adds on Rx prescription Lens. Main job responsibility is to work with a broad internal team (ID/PD/ENG/Quality/Test/REL) and external partner or Contract Manufacturer to bring up factory, qualify the equipment/process, improve the yield and provide regular executive update on technical healthiness of the program.

* Manage FEOL process team with 4 direct reports, responsible for process and tool qualification, process capability, yield and cycle time continuous improvement. * Integrate in-line process&metrology data into MES, build dashboard with SPC charts and defect pareto by JMP for process control and faster root cause analysis. * Help standardize business procedure such as recipe management, process change control, process capability analysis, training matrix, work instruction control, etc.

* Implement various standalone and in-line metrologies throughout production line including wafer/layer/stack level physical KPI. * Design an automation system with robot, conveyor and jedec auto-loader to integrate two processes, physical/functional metrology and pack-out. * Drive multiple internal and external teams and manage projects from tool design, install, and qualification and communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks and roadblocks. * Generate SOP, PMEA and control plan, train technicians and transfer process to MFG OPS team.

* Build the ML1 pilot eyepiece fabrication line as one of the first few process engineers. * Equipment procurement, installation and customization, establish prototype process and metrology from start to end, product prototyping and design. * Process and metrology automation to meet the sales projection to enable ML1 product release in 2018.

(Note: IBM-Microelectronics division was acquired by GlobalFoundries on 07/01/2015. ) * Support strip and rework processes across front end and middle of line (FEOL&MOL) modules. * Develop new patterning process in Replacement Metal Gate (RMG) module to reduce cost and eliminate the metal hard mask manufacturability issue.

* Manage complex semiconductor fabrication processes and procedures of dry etch (RIE) in 14 nm back end of line (BEOL) interconnect integration. * Work collaboratively with lithography, metrology, integration, process limited yield (PLY) and failure analysis team on daily basis to define the technology and improve the yield. * Transfer the technology from research and development into production phase. * Continuous process improvement through SPC, Design of Experiment, statistical analysis, FMEA, 8D, etc.

* Transfer and ramp up 14LPE process technologies in the GF-Malta Fab 8 site as 9 months IBM consultant worker, focusing on tool qualification, process centering and defect reduction. * Lead vendor team for new tool qualification from installation to full release to production. * Align with industrial and equipment engineer to support the fab to achieve manufacturing KPIs, including cycle time, line yield, OEE (overall equipment efficiency)

Developed prototypes of nano-devices as chemical sensors, photodetectors and light emitting diodes. * Embedded a chemically sensitive nanojunction within a single Ag nanowire gas sensor, which improved the sensitivity by several orders of magnitude, compared to as-fabricated sensors. * Designed novel nanogap photodetectors, simultaneously improving photoconductive gain and speed about two orders of magnitude, compared to previous nanowires based devices. * Produced a novel prototype of on-chip nanoscale LEDs, which could provide a route for integrating nanoscale photonic devices with conventional silicon microelectronics.

Contributed in the intensive early phase instrumentation for Chemistry at the Space-Time Limit (CaSTL) center dedicated to combine the atomistic resolution of STM with the Femtosecond resolution of laser to characterize elementary events in single molecule chemistry and photo-physics. * Co-constructed a Low Temperature UHV STM which allows optical access and capable of detecting weak optical signal from the STM junction and analyzed by a spectrometer with a liquid Nitrogen cooled CCD.
