I am currently a student at the University of the Pacific graduating 2018. I was an intern for the PG&E/Valley Vision joint energy conservation program. This experience took me out of my comfort zone to sales (getting customers to participate in energy conservation programs). This opportunity allowed me the chance to venture into an area that I never thought I'd experience. I learned many transferable skills from this experience. I'm also a member of the leadership team at Center for Community Involvement, UOP's volunteering hub. My role as volunteer recruiter requires me to create and execute marketing strategies and campaigns to recruit volunteers. I have a lot of creative control at this position, which also means a lot of responsibility. This opportunity has been a fantastic growth opportunity for me to develop leadership skills.
