WHAT I DO: I get 'stuff' done ... I help startup/early-stage companies accelerate growth and achieve scale by providing a "been there, done that" perspective and leadership mentoring. MY STORY: Most recently, I was Executive Director of the Growth Mentoring Service (GMS) for the Enterprise Center in Johnson County (ECJC). Previously, I served for 10+ years as Chief Operating Officer at Netchemia, a K-12 Talent Management SaaS software company. During my tenure, the company experienced dramatic people and customer growth, ultimately serving over 3,000 school districts in 47 states. As COO, I helped lead two add-on acquisitions, a private equity investment by Mainsail Partners, and the eventual sale of the firm to Vista Equity Partners in early 2015. I am an active early-stage venture investor, and former member of ECJC's Mid-America Angels. I hold a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in chemistry. I taught chemistry classes at Vanderbilt, personal computer classes to adults at Johnson County Community College, and a facilitator of Stephen Covey’s “7-Habits of Highly Effective People”. I am an avid road and Peloton cyclist, and Pickleball "addict". I enjoy technology “gadgets”, and became involved with computers in the earliest days of personal computing. I am a Google and Android fan, and an early adopter of technology.
