Savvy Farmer is the only digital source of up-to-date information on how to control virtually any weed, insect or disease in any crop grown in Canada. The Savvy Farmer database includes labels, MSDS, generics, rates, PHI, formulation type, plus many more fields, making it the most complete crop protection database in Canada. Savvy Farmer currently provides data support to various other leading ag companies in Canada.

Agricultural consultant, working with dozens of start-ups across Canada and the USA, with emphasis on more environmentally and socially acceptable methods of pest control in agricultural crops. Most satisfyingly time was working with Agribiotics, a family-owned company involved in the research and fermentation of nitrogen-fixing bacteria, and helping them prepare, and successfully divest of their company. Also enjoyed working with professor Mikio Chiba on his environmentally-friendly mustard extract for the control of nematodes and successfully helped Dr. Ciba divest of his company to MustGrow in Saskatchewan, where Dr. Chiba's invention continues to enjoy commercial success.

National distributor of specialty pest control products, with emphasis on horticultural and turf markets. As GM and head of Marketing, enjoyed working with co-owner Ray Chyc, to launch Engage's dramatic growth to become a major distributor in Canada. Very exciting times!

First Canadian president of Syngenta Crop Protection Canada and its predecessor company (Novartis Crop Protection) for 6 years and held various senior marketing positions in Canada and Europe within the organization for 27 years. Syngenta is the #1 supplier of agricultural chemicals in Canada and worldwide.

Novartis was created through the merger of Ciba-Geigy and Sandoz to become the world's largest crop protection company. I led the merger integration process in Canada, and served as its first and only president until Novartis merged with Zeneca to form a new company, Syngenta. Novartis was a wonderful company to lead, and I have many fond memories of those times and the people.

Global leader in development and distribution of pest control products. During my time at Ciba, I served in Canada and in the head office in Basel, Switzerland. I have particularly fond memories of my time in Basel where I had product management responsibilities for Western Europe and the Americas. The opportunity of a lifetime for myself as well as my family.
