A creative and energetic team player with excellent skills in the area of product and concept development. My core strength is to materialize and engineer product ideas and solutions, combining the creative and technical specifications towards a product that looks good AND works seamlessly. I like to take a pragmatic approach to new projects, validating and field testing new ideas in early stages of the design process using mock-ups and prototypes. I bring perseverance and boldness, working together across disciplines, cultures and companies, to overcome any type of hurdle. Currently looking for a new challenge as design engineer, preferably working on products and projects that create a more sustainable and circular society considering the global challenges we are facing today. As founder of Van.Eko, I have developed and built the “Be.e”, the first electric scooter made from biobased materials in the world. The Be.e is a highly innovative, high-performance electric scooter handmade in Amsterdam through composite manufacturing of the monocoque structure and assembly of the complete scooter. Building the scooter and the company from scratch, I worked together with (composite) manufacturers and suppliers from across the world, resulting in 10 highly innovative scooters on the road since 2 years without any serious technical issues. Van.eko believes in building products that fulfil both our materialistic and our functional needs, without leaving a negative footprint for generations to come.
