Head of the engineering department. Leading a team of 27 staff members and managing the external mechanics for day to day business and projects. Responsible for all maintenance and engineering related activities of the API production facilities, laboratories and administration buildings. These responsibilities include all the relevant processes and documentation necessary under GMP and HSE regulations. Reorganization of the engineering department (40 % headcount reduction by outsourcing activities), improvement of GMP and HSE KPI from 60 % to 93 %

Manager of technical projects at the Bergkamen site. Design, procurement, commissioning and qualification of microbiological and chemical production facilities. Leading the project “optimization of the spray drying process of an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API)” Elimination of critical FDA issues and reduplication of the manufacturing capacity without investment in only 6 months.

Planning and execution of test series with a mini plant to develop a new polymer for Sony. Introduction of the SAP–R3 Plant Maintenance Module (SAP-R3/PM) in the technical develop-ment department.

Responsible for research requests, planning and construction of a pilot plant, execution of laboratory courses, presentation of lectures, supporting of master thesis and independent research projects of students.
