I worked on software tools to help our materials department plan, analyze, utilize MRP, and track KPIs easier. I worked with programmers to develop reports in our ERP system. I wrote spreadsheet models to track on time delivery with much more accuracy and less work on the planners. I simplified or MRP reporting. I developed order variance models to analyze customer demand fluctuation. I improved our sales forecasting model and rough cut capacity models. I developed scheduling models for each plannner.

There was a decision to close a sister plant and move that business to our plant. I was chosen to coordinate that move on our end. That consisted of authoring a timeline for the move with details down to each machine. I also developed a spreadsheet model to determine what products needed to be stockpiled to cover the move. That model was improved to coordinate joint production as we started some of the machine lines in our plant. After the move was complete I became the Area manager over that division taking on the responsibilities of my previous job but challenged by our lack of experience with the product, process, and equipment.

Oversee performance of a division of manufacturing lines. Coordinated with maintenance, engineering, quality, and materials to reach objectives. This was our most challenging area at the time.
