Tom is currently Professor of Philosophy at the University of Northern Colorado. Prior to returning to his first love of teaching and scholarship, he served in several administrative positions, including Chair of the Department of Religious Studies, Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Interim Vice President/Associate Provost for Student Affairs at Loyola University New Orleans, as well as Assistant Vice President for Undergraduate Studies, Dean of University College, and Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education at the University of Northern Colorado. His field of academic expertise is the history of religious and philosophical ideas, with a special focus on early Christian thought and the interplay between philosophy and theology in Late Antiquity.
