Responsible for the design, implementation, deployment, maintenance, disaster recovery, 24x7 availability, integrity, and security of enterprise wide application servers and middleware technologies for Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. Design, build, manage, secure and support enterprise web application servers such as JBoss, PHP and related systems and technologies. Manage and support assorted tools and utilities across the agency. Must have a broad working knowledge of web server and middleware technologies and be able to work independently on implementing changes and coordinating services between the system administrators, DBAs and architects.

Responsible for leading and maintaining the development of a system wide identity and access management architecture, and the development and/or acquisition and deployment of specific hardware and software tools required to provide electronic directory authentication, authorization and public key infrastructure technologies and services. The architect will serve as an agent for change by working with all of MnSCU user communities to define appropriate application and user requirements that will make effective and efficient use of IT resources – particularly as they relate to IAM. The architect will represent MnSCU on state and national standards committees – ensuring that MnSCU and Minnesota are both represented and have access to current and future technology solutions.

Worked on a wide variety of projects, but my main focus was in the realm of identity and access management, directory services and web single sign-on.

Subject matter expert and technical lead for a variety of information technology projects including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data integration, Loyalty Rewards integration, Oxcyon, Inc.'s CentralPoint User Experience product, source code version control system, development pipeline process, Unix scripting and environment management.

After leaving my position with Ford I was brought back in as a consultant to keep the enterprise directory service running smoothly across three data centers in three different countries until someone with similar expertise could be found to fill the role.
