As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, I provide individual and group counseling under licensed supervision, integrating evidence-based therapeutic approaches with a humanistic and performance psychology perspective. My work emphasizes cultivating self-awareness, resilience, and effective coping strategies in clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop collaborative treatment plans aligned with client goals. • Provide counseling services utilizing modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Person-Centered Therapy. • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to ACA ethical standards and HIPAA compliance. • Participate in weekly supervision and case consultation, integrating feedback to refine clinical competence. • Deliver psychoeducational interventions supporting emotional regulation, motivation, and behavioral change. I provide performance psychology-based coaching to high-performing individuals looking to transform their lives. I handle the marketing and promotion of my business. I provide guidance and support to numerous individuals.

I was the resident mental performance coach at the American Kickboxing Academy I helped numerous fighters develop themselves, their skills, and their careers I worked with coaches to help them improve their coaching skills I worked with small business owners, helping them reconnect with their purpose and goals.

Took a try at becoming a podcaster. Not every venture succeeds.

I helped build a coalition of neighborhood councils to support a community led effort to decrease residential neighborhood speed limits. This has now been approved by the city council. I also organized and ran every meeting from the beginning of the pandemic. I organized our move to online from in person meetings and grew our membership and participation by a factor of five during that time.

I got kids excited about exercises through a variety of games and a lot of encouragement.

Managed a math department. Conducted performance reviews of the fellow math teachers, providing constructive criticism and support. Coordinated with administration and other academic leaders to make various policy decisions around curriculum, finances, student life, and teacher responsibilities. Officially represented Notre Dame to potential students and families. Worked as a liaison between the school and the nuns who oversaw us.

I innovated the track program by bringing video analysis to the jump and hurdle program.

I taught every high school math subject including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics. I created engaging presentations and learning opportunities for each student. I maintained regular contact with over 120 families, establishing fast rapport to enable open and sometimes difficult conversations. Mentored students as they grew from freshwomen to seniors, maintaining contact with many still, providing mentorship and support to this day. Effectively dealt with occasional behavioral issues and disruptions. Provided mediation for students and groups of students who were in conflict.

I learned how to survive an environment full of teenagers swinging metal clubs at rocks.

I was a member of the coaching staff for a sectional championship football team. As JV defensive coordinator, I got to play Madden, but in real life.

The job that required the most detailed organizational skills imaginable. Take 30 high school students on a field trip alone to experience it.

I developed a deep passion for teaching and was able to make lifetime ties into the Half Moon Bay community in my time there.

Software Consultant, implementation of enterprise partner and channel sales management in the emerging SaaS environment. Served as the senior business analyst for: SAMSUNG LEXMARK HP Made business process suggestions to channel sales managers in order to drive adoption of our hosted solution Coordinated software development efforts between engineering and QA departments. Led and performed basic customizations to the user interface Conducted hiring interviews for various company roles, peer, junior, and senior level positions. Assisted in sales calls providing on the fly technical support to highlight features being presented to potential customers.

Dissertation was an investigation into how elite MMA fighters advance their skills once they become experts.

Obtained a master's degree in Kinesiology. The program is a broad focus, meaning that I have studied physiology, psychology, sociology and physical skill development (motor learning). Research interests include Mindfulness Meditation (be in the moment), Self-Determination Theory (motivation), Self-Efficacy (motivation and self beliefs) as well as optimal coaching methods for individual and team sports. Founding member of the kinesiology research group at CSU East Bay.
