* Worked to create a “college going culture” among a diverse population of first-generation, recent high school graduates * Supported students as an academic advisor to define education and career goals, create academic plans, develop personal statements, and assist with applications to four-year schools * Provided basic financial aid counseling, including overview of grants, scholarships, and loans * Presented workshops in first-year seminars on study skills and the transfer process to four-year schools * Collaborated with other student service professionals to plan workshops, panels, school fairs, and campus visits
