Managing the aquatic system requires understanding the physical, biological and chemical relationships between its components and how these interact with the human and regulatory environments. Hutchinson Environmental Sciences Ltd. (HESL) scientists have an in depth understanding of aquatic ecosystem processes, of the multiple stressors that act on them and of how these can be incorporated into the management process. This understanding allows us to efficiently sample, interpret and explain the components and processes of aquatic systems and to work with stakeholders to achieve the necessary balance in perspective and application. We provide consulting services to government, industry and non-governmental organizations across Canada from our offices in two provinces: Bracebridge and Kitchener in Ontario and Edmonton in Alberta.
