Summer Training – WEPCO (Western Desert Operating Petroleum Company) Gained practical exposure to mechanical workshops and field operations in the oil & gas industry. Acquired hands-on experience bridging academic knowledge with real-world applications. Developed strong awareness of teamwork, safety protocols, and operational discipline in petroleum field environments. Enhanced technical understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance practices relevant to field operations.

Summer Training – Mantrac (Caterpillar Dealer), Egypt Gained hands-on experience with heavy equipment including loaders, graders, and dump trucks. Acquired in-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems used in Caterpillar machinery. Participated in engine and transmission repair for loaders. Contributed to the assembly of grader engines under supervision. Strengthened practical mechanical skills and applied academic knowledge in real-world maintenance and service operations.

Summer Training – GUPCO (Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company), Ras Bakar Gained hands-on experience in oil & gas processing, including separation of natural gas, LPG, and condensates. Observed multi-stage gas treatment, storage, and transportation processes. Learned about seawater injection systems, gas turbines (types, lubrication, cooling cycle, operation & control). Acquired practical knowledge of air compressors, pumps, and diesel engines used in field operations. Developed strong understanding of safety standards, teamwork, and real-world petroleum field practices.

Summer Training – Khalda Petroleum Company (Apache), El Salam Field Acquired hands-on skills in diesel, pump, and gas maintenance workshops, including overhauls, troubleshooting, and failure analysis. Observed operations at the gas station (separation & compression) and oil station (treatment & handling processes). Learned about turbine station operations, power generation, and turbine maintenance. Received firefighting and HSE training, covering safety protocols and emergency response. Visited EDC Drilling Rig 75, gaining exposure to drilling operations and well intervention practices. Strengthened practical understanding of mechanical systems in the oil & gas industry, bridging theory with field applications.

Summer Training – Agiba Petroleum Company, Meleiha Field (Western Desert) Gained hands-on experience in mechanical workshops, including maintenance and overhauling of rotating equipment. Observed operations at the oil station: crude oil separation, pumping systems, and heat exchangers. Learned about gas treatment, compression systems, and safety procedures in the gas station. Explored the Production Control Room (PCR): monitoring field operations via SCADA and real-time data analysis. Attended workover rig (EDC Rig 9) operations involving sucker rod pumps, pulling units, and well intervention techniques. Enhanced technical knowledge and practical skills, bridging academic studies with real oil & gas field applications.

Summer Training – Petrobel (Belayim Petroleum Company), Abou Rudeis Field Gained exposure to power station equipment including centrifugal/reciprocating pumps, compressors, and gas turbines. Observed workover rig (EDC 99) operations, well intervention, and artificial lift systems. Learned about oil, gas, and water separation at the battery station, with focus on pressure control and storage. Understood LPG treatment, storage, and safety procedures for handling flammable materials. Acquired hands-on skills in welding, lathe, milling machines, and diesel engine maintenance. Strengthened practical knowledge, bridging the gap between academic studies and field applications.

Caterpillar – Technicians for the World Program Completed Caterpillar’s global training program focused on heavy equipment systems, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Gained valuable insights into industry-standard practices for servicing and operating Caterpillar machinery. Strengthened technical knowledge, bridging academic studies with practical applications. Enhanced commitment to continuous learning, professional growth, and technical excellence.

Professional Maintenance Engineer – Mithaq (Maintenance Mastery Consulting) Completed a comprehensive program covering maintenance engineering principles and digital transformation in industry. Topics included: Flexsim basics, electrical fundamentals, ANSYS applications, takt time, maintenance reliability, digital tools, teamwork in maintenance, and system design essentials. Achieved 100% score, reflecting strong technical understanding and commitment to excellence. Enhanced interdisciplinary knowledge combining mechanical, electrical, and digital maintenance practices.

I participated in a mechanical engineering internship at General Petroleum Company, where I explored various aspects of upstream oil & gas operations. The training involved: Field visits to oil production stations and separation units. Introduction to pump systems, compressors, and engines used in production facilities. Understanding the mechanical maintenance routines for surface equipment. Exposure to safety systems, emergency procedures, and HSE policies in the oil field. Observation of wellhead operations and gathering systems. This internship gave me practical insight into mechanical systems in oil production and helped build my understanding of field maintenance and operational reliability.
