Expanded from frontend into full-stack ownership, taking on backend services and infrastructure alongside ongoing frontend work. The transition that set the foundation for the full-stack work I do today. - Backend development. Built Go-based REST APIs and Dockerized microservices supporting web and mobile clients. Worked with PostgreSQL for data persistence and handled deployment pipelines end to end. - Billing system. Shipped a production billing module with automated tax reporting to FURS (Slovenian tax authority), ensuring compliance with local financial regulations. The kind of work where a bug is not a UX problem, it is a legal one. - Testing infrastructure. Implemented automated test suites across web (Jest, Cypress), pushing coverage to 85% and meaningfully reducing production bugs. - Cross-stack ownership. Owned features from API design through frontend implementation, removing the handoff overhead that slows small teams down.

Built and owned the frontend for a medical CRM platform used by private clinics across Slovenia. Grew from frontend developer into the engineer who set the architectural patterns the company kept using, which led directly to the full-stack role that followed. - Medical CRM Dashboard. Designed a data-intensive React dashboard with real-time WebSocket updates, Redux state management, and complex form workflows. Built the complete patient billing interface processing 5000+ invoices monthly. - Mobile applications. Developed cross-platform apps (React Native, Flutter) with offline-first architecture. Implemented robust data synchronization between wearables, mobile clients, and backend services, handling inconsistent device data and network delays. - Design system. Led early adoption of Tailwind CSS, extracting reusable component patterns and reducing CSS bundle size by 90%. Established the design system that became the standard across all frontend projects. First engineering role. Worked on automation and industrial systems for large-scale infrastructure projects across the energy sector. - TurkStream Pipeline Project. Maintained the VBA automation suite for the €11.4B cross-border gas pipeline. Automated engineering calculations and report generation, eliminating repetitive manual tasks across project documentation. My first real lesson in how much value sits in automating the boring parts of a serious workflow. - SCADA systems. Developed visualization panels for real-time monitoring and control of industrial processes, enabling operators to track system status and respond to anomalies. - What I took from it. Learned how production systems behave when they cannot fail, how to read someone else's undocumented code, and that automation is leverage.
