About

Hi, I'm Sherry! I'm a graduate student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan. My current focus is on autonomous systems, embedded control, and robotics perception. I have an interdisciplinary background in neuroscience and computer science. During my time at National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan, I completed a thesis project on bio-inspired UAV obstacle avoidance using optical flow, modeled after insect compound eyes. This experience sparked my passion for applying biological principles to real-time robotic systems. Technically, I enjoy working at the intersection of sensing, control, and embedded AI. I’ve developed systems using Python, C++, PyTorch, OpenCV, and CUDA. I’m especially interested in how biological insights can inspire more adaptive and efficient engineering solutions. I'm currently seeking internship opportunities in robotics, embedded systems, and computer vision where I can apply both my research experience and hands-on technical skills.
