Steven Budhu

I've spent 12+ years inside Canada's healthcare system, finding the places where healthcare delivery was stuck, and building solutions and teams to break through. My work spans across product leadership, design, and engineering. Most of what I do is translate between the people who build things, the diverse people who use them, and the people who fund them. Over my career, I've picked up whatever technologies a problem required, from legacy languages like MUMPS/M, then Python, SQL, and now branching into AI. Plus, working within and/or interfacing with Hospital & Community EMRs like Epic, Meditech, Telus, Accuro. I've also worked with nearly every clinical discipline (physicians, nurses, pharmacists, OT, PT, RT, SLP), and every care setting (inpatient, outpatient, emergency, surgery, imaging, community medicine). Currently I'm working with UHN, on the Connected Care team, helping shape solutions inside and outside of the walls of the hospital to help change the way care is delivered and experienced in Toronto & the Greater Toronto Area.
