-Co-created, organized and hosted TAL’s Audio Hackathon, which organized a diverse group of about 80 hackers, designers and journalists to work on the task of making audio easier to discover and share. -Decided to produce one great idea from the Hackathon: Shortcut is a web tool that can easily clip a selection from TAL’s entire audio archive, convert it into a transcribed video, and share it to major social networks. It works on desktop and on mobile. -Personally wrote grants to secure funding from the Tow Foundation and the Knight Foundation to make Shortcut a reality. Hired staff of designers and developers to create the project. -Led team through every step of the process, including ideation, design, beta testing and finally release. -Secured funding and set up open source project for Shortcut, which helps organizations implement the tool for themselves.
