Responsible for the husbandry and care of an assigned section of snakes in a large, non-venomous snake collection. Duties include weekly handling and feeding of the snakes, habitat cleaning, and administration of medications and other therapies as needed.

Performed patient intake histories, set up exam rooms, utilized proper canine and feline restraint techniques, drew up vaccinations, processed blood work and fecal tests, performed nail trims, created bills, and handled payments. Performed blood draws, delivered intravenous medications, and placed catheters. Worked in the surgery unit performing surgery intakes, administering subcutaneous fluids, intubating animals, and monitoring animals under anesthesia.

Rehabilitated injured and orphaned wildlife with proper treatment and husbandry. Performed admission intake by obtaining accurate weights and medical histories. Assisted in filling prescriptions, preparing medications, and administering oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications, vaccines, and fluids to wildlife and exotic animals. Assisted administering anesthesia and taking vitals during surgeries and radiographs. Assisted in the preparation, execution, and processing of radiographs, animal necropsies, and rabies submissions. Executed blood work and fecal analyses. Maintained, cleaned, and organized wildlife laundry, husbandry, and cages.

Recorded research data on calf subjects, which included handling the calves to perform a physical exam, taking rectal temperatures, collecting fecal samples, and feeding the calves, all while following PPE and anti-contamination procedures. Made trips to a nearby dairy to enroll new calves in the study. Responsibilities included delivering the calves, administering vaccines, ear tagging, and performing esophageal intubation to feed colostrum.
