Battery engineer with a strong background in cell modeling and degradation analysis, currently focused on the scale-up of lithium metal battery technology at Basquevolt. I specialize in bridging the gap between the material development (R&D) team and key stakeholders including production, engineering, and customers—ensuring that scientific innovation is effectively translated into scalable, high-performance cell designs. My role spans technical coordination, specification management, and cross-functional leadership to support the transition from lab-scale research to commercial-scale manufacturing. Before this, I was working on modelling lithium ion cells. I have experience using various lithium-ion battery models such as DFN (Doyle-Fuller-Newman), P2D (Pseudo 2D), and SPM. (Single Particle Model). Additionally, I have experience in creating models for simulating battery abuse and developing 3D thermal runaway and propagation simulation models with gas generation for lithium-ion cells. I have also extensively worked on modeling thermal performance of lithium-ion batteries and creating thermal management solutions for various automotive platforms. I am proficient in using tools such as COMSOL Multiphysics, Star CCM+, and Ansys, as well as programming languages such as Python, Julia, and Matlab.

Lead Developer: Capacity fade

Engineer - Thermals and CFD simulation

- Implemented DFN model with stress-coupled diffusion to simulate very high C-rates in Comsol multiphysics. - Developed capacity prediction program for lithium-ion cells using Pybamm and parameter estimation techniques in Python. - Developed thermal runaway propagation simulations with gas generation using Arrhenius-based differential equations in Comsol multiphysics - Worked on parameter estimation of the SPM model using global optimization methods. - Developed LSTM Neural network-based cell capacity prediction model and used k-fold cross-validation for hyperparameter tuning. - Worked on thermal analysis and simulation of 21700 lithium-ion cell-based battery packs for two-wheelers using Star CCM+. - Worked on Thermal and electrical simulation of busbars using Star CCM+ and Comsol multiphysics.
