Assistant Dean of Students
Greater New York City Area
Assistant Dean of Student Development & Campus Life at the NYC location Overseeing the largest campus in the Berkeley College system. Working in partnership with the academic affairs, academic support, residence life, career services and counseling staff while managing student clubs, honor societies, new student orientation, commencement, leadership programs, system-wide community outreach initiative and athletics has been a worthwhile experience. These efforts continue to contribute greatly in enhancing the quality of student learning and development. Berkeley Cares is a Community Service initiative that I developed in 2009 at the New York City campus by providing an identity for the various community service activities undertaken by associates and students. Currently Berkeley Cares is a system wide initiative at all ten of Berkeley College’s campuses. Since 2009 Berkeley has developed a Community Service Day, Berkeley College associates and alumni volunteer 800 or more hours of community service at 35 community agencies in New York and New Jersey. Each quarter students at their specific campuses have the option to volunteer in two or more service projects. In addition I was responsible for organizing fundraising for Haiti relief, the earthquake in Japan as well as other relief efforts.
