Shaojun Qi

As a Ph.D. with six years of dedicated research experience in cortical development, I developed specialized expertise in investigating the regulatory mechanisms of non-coding RNAs and niche factors during my doctoral studies. My core competencies encompassed RNA-related subcellular localization assays, RNA structural biology, and the regulation of cerebral cortex development, proliferation and differentiation—all integral to in-depth in vivo phenotypic analysis. I also mastered rigorous experimental design, as well as polished communication and presentation skills for academic and professional settings. In my post-Ph.D. career, my work has centered on the construction and application expansion of circular RNA (circRNA)-based technical platforms. Currently, I am conducting in-depth research on in vivo CAR-T-related applications integrated with circRNA technologies, while prioritizing the optimization of circRNA synthesis and purification processes, scaling up platform production, and expanding its therapeutic application scenarios. These efforts aim to overcome the inherent limitations of current RNA techniques and fully harness the unique stability and targeting advantages of circRNA for nucleic acid-based disease treatments. Driven by a profound passion for scientific inquiry, I am dedicated to translating cutting-edge circRNA platform technologies into practical, innovative solutions that propel advancements in the field of translational medicine.
