Managed team responsible for calculation and analysis of Bank's Basel II capital levels

Responsibilities included: • Monthly calculation and analysis of Risk-Based Capital (Basel I) • Monthly calculation, analysis and quarterly filing of Basel II reporting with the Federal Reserve • Building and maintaining advanced Excel models used to calculate credit risk • Working with various business areas to understand and source new products that expose the company to the credit risk • Working with IT partners to develop and implement system enhancements relating to Basel I and II regulatory requirements

Acted as a Project Manager / Business Analyst supporting Basel II initiative: • Closely worked with the representatives from the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and Jack Henry Regulatory Filing group to prepare State Street for the first Basel II filing by with the Federal Reserve • Acted as a lead analyst and project manager on the Basel II Schedules IT project closely working with business and IT stakeholders • Engaged in User Acceptance Testing by preparing and executing Excel test cases for IT enhancements, analyzed and resolved issues, documented the results • Was formally recognized by the management for consistently exceeding performance expectations

Acted as a Business Analyst on Chart of Accounts project: • Designed and maintained the MS Access database to manage the consolidated account and responsibility center hierarchies as part of building the new Chart of Accounts for all of State Street • Organized the review of the proposed hierarchy structures by multiple managers from across the Finance organization • Analyzed the suggested changes, discussed and resolved issues and roadblocks with the managers Acted as a Business Analyst on a development of a new interface of HR information into the General Ledger.
