The drive to build something and make it grow is in my DNA. I got into app-building at age 16—creating games and study guides for other high school students. But by 18, I wanted to take on work that had more meaning for my community. I developed and co-founded Eligible API, an application that lets patients check their health insurance status with almost all of the insurance providers in the United States. When I was awarded the Peter Thiel 20 Under 20 Fellowship, I realized the power that technology—and an entrepreneurial mindset—can have to make real, lasting change for the underserved.
