Summer Intern | Malabar Cements Ltd. 4th June 2024 – 21th June 2024 During my 15-day summer internship at Malabar Cements Ltd., a government-owned company, I gained hands-on experience in electrical and control systems across three load centers (LC 1, LC 2, and LC 3). My key contributions included: Verification and Testing of Control Panels: Conducted cross-checks on protection relays and power multimeters for LT, HT, and variable frequency drive control panels in Load Center 3, ensuring all components were tested and recorded accurately. Maintenance and Repairs: Assisted in replacing a faulty limit switch on a conveyor belt, rewiring control box switches, and performing battery bank maintenance by checking voltages, verifying distilled water density, and cleaning terminals for optimal efficiency. System Control Overview: Gained a comprehensive understanding of system operations, including the use of PLC and SCADA for controlling and operating the raw mill, kiln mill, and cement mill. This internship enhanced my technical skills and provided valuable insights into the workings of a major cement manufacturing plant.
