PhD Student @ Washington University in St. Louis
About
I’m interested in how bones, joints, and surrounding tissues work together and how cartilage cushions, tendons anchor, and synovial tissues support movement and repair. I’m especially drawn to the microscopic side of orthopedics: how solutes and nutrients diffuse through these tissues, how they adapt under stress, and what that means for healing after injury. Alongside this, I explore tissue engineering as a way to design better solutions for regeneration which is an area that could transform the future of orthopedic surgery. Ultimately, I’m motivated by the possibility of translating these insights into approaches that restore mobility and improve patients’ lives.

- Providing one-on-one assistance to students during office hours, addressing questions and clarifying course material. - Grade assignments, and other assessments, providing constructive feedback to support student learning. - Collaborating with professors to develop instructional materials, including presentations, quizzes, and supplementary resources. - Leading tutorial sessions to enhance practical applications of theoretical concepts in biomechanics and biomedical engineering.

Intern
- Learned about the concept of circular economy, E-waste and the importance. - sorted and categorized e-waste materials for proper disposal, recycling and refurbishing. - Learned how to dismantle and disassemble electronic devices like computers, phones, etc. - Learned how to use specialized tools and equipment in dismantling. - Participated in training workshops on e-waste management. - Worked collaboratively with other girls to develop a project to improve the e-waste management society. - Selected as 1 out of 10 girls from a total of 25 girls to be part of a paid internship for a month.

Intern
- Engaged in a one-week workshop for training young girls to acquire technical skills and knowledge on circular economy, E-waste and proper management skills. - Given the opportunity to develop business ideas with my team and present a proposal for selection. - Out of 6 teams that presented their business ideas, my team was one of the three groups selected.

Intern at The Bioinstrumentation Lab
- Built and programmed a robotic car - 3D drawing (AutoCAD and Fusion360) - Designed an incubator using Proteus 8 Professional and Tinkercad Softwares. - Built the incubator on a breadboard. - Familiarised with GitHub for code sharing and collaboration
