Sarah Naish

I have acquired my Bachelors of Environmental Studies with a minor in Economics from the University of Manitoba. Attending university has improved my proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. These skills have been put into practice and further developed throughout my working career. While attending university full-time I was able to successfully manage two retail jobs under a managerial/supervisory role, providing me the ability to develop time management and prioritization skills. Once I completed my degree, I was successful at joining the Northwest team. Working with this company provided me the opportunity to work in multiple categories improving my skills towards accuracy, attention to detail, and problem solving. Throughout my 6 years with Northwest I was in charge of managing vendor negotiations, pricing strategies, logistics, planogram creation and sales reporting. I also had opportunities to work on larger projects that crossed multiple departments. These larger projects allowed me to develop strong communication and interpersonal skills. My everyday tasks with addition of larger projects not only required a high level of accuracy but also the ability to plan, prioritize, and work with products that have a short shelf life and often required shipping within tight deadlines.
