Lead the strategies in place to support the project management community within the organization including PM continual improvement, best practices adoption, tools development and knowledge sharing. Contribute to the development of the Ministry as a Centre of Excellence in project management and knowledge management services. Oversee the development and implementation of a repository of templates and process documents and individual project sites for management of documents and facilitates the training, mentoring and coaching for new and seasoned project managers. Continual development of a knowledge hub for the organization to capure and transfer knowledge to sustain organizational project management expertise.

Leading a team of specialized managers and consultants to develop and implement project management standards, processes and best practices to ensure a consistent approach to project implementation and provide value-added services and expertise to internal and external clients. Working with partners and stakeholders to provide clients with consistent approaches, timely resolution to project issues, and ongoing project management practices and standards that improve project success factors.

Managed the coordination and integration of business planning and evaluation processes for the Division. Provided a quality assurance function for Division-wide buisness and operational planning by providing leadership in the development, tracking and reporting of all strategic and operational initiatives, including reporting on Ministry Mandate strategies for the Division. Provided leadership and coordination of various cross-divisional teams; and actively supported the Assistant Deputy Minister and Divisional Executive Committee on special projects and initiatives. Developed and implemented initiatives that enhanced Division-wide communication of business plans and the support of effective management of strategic and operational plans. Managed the annual process for the develpment of Divisional strategies and Operational plans.

Provided consulting and leadership services to design and develop business processes to support the branch goal to become a Centre of Excellence. Continual review and improvements of business processes and policies supporting the branch. Researched benchmark public project management organizations; best practices, procedures and policies. Developed branch business plan, monitoring achievements and recommended alternative strategies. Acted as internal and external liaison and branch representative on issues management, including communications, finance, divisional support, other areas of the department and program ministry officials. Managed the flow of information to internal and external stakeholders. Assisted with the development and implementation of a continual improvement framework to support project management, growth and learning and mentoring of junior employees. Managed the major capital project budgets, forecasts and expenditures and the project reporting requirements for branch and the Capital Planning Initative.
