I led the Digital Enterprise Division of the company that includes our Telecommunications, Media, Networks, Energy, Travel, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare & Life Sciences verticals.

I led the Healthcare & Life Science business.

I had accountability for an IT organization of 350 internal associates driving the technology agenda for the Drug Development business units across the Novartis Group. These included General Medicines, Oncology, Medical Devices, Generics & Biosimilars business units. We re-invented the traditional processes of drug development through the investment of IT talent, skills and the deployment of innovative digital solutions and technologies. These included Big Data, RWE and numerous cloud based solutions.

I had responsibility for a global IT organization across US, Europe & Asia supporting the IT landscape of the Vaccines & Diagnostics Division of Novartis. This was a $2B revenue division with independent R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance & Commercial functions. As part of my tenure I also enabled the smooth divestiture of the division to GSK and CSL as the IT applications and infrastructure were segregated and transitioned to their new owners.

I was a member of the Drug Development leadership team of the Pharma Division with accountability for the technologies supporting all key functions of the Drug Development process. These include Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Operations, Data Management, Bio Statistics, Regulatory and Technical Development. During my tenure I implemented a significant simplification and capability transformation of the IT group and oversaw major implementations of new infrastructure and applications across the landscape - notably in the safety (Argus) and clinical supply chain (SAP) areas.

I led various large-scale global IT projects based in Europe, South America & Asia for the Pharma, OTC (Over the Counter), AH (Animal Health) divisions. Project budgets were between $5-$20M with international teams of between 50-100 full time members. During 2007 I relocated to Singapore to deliver the application and infrastructure landscape for a Greenfield Biologics manufacturing site for the APAC region

I was a member of the regional management team in the creation of a Swiss hub for the Monsanto divested business

I had accountability for all SAP solution designs for the SAP instances supporting the Broadcast & Professional business unit.

I was a functional SAP consultant (SD, SM, MM) on various large-scale global IT projects in Europe

3rd year of study was spent at the Universite de Paul Sabatier & SUPAero in Toulouse
