Provide engineering support and automation services to the fine furniture industry in Morganton, Hickory, and High Point North Carolina. Consult with clients on the implementation of fully integrated automated manufacturing systems utilizing Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation controls, inventory management systems, and work flow analysis.

Precisely modify gas turbine engine hardware to install mechanical and digital instrumentation according to engineering drawings for the purpose of research, troubleshooting and flight testing. Modify hardware using lathes, mills, EDM's and a variety of specialized hand tools. Instrumentation techniques include pressure taps of various specifications. Thermocouple installation to include air/skin/embedded, of the MGO, fiberglass, braided stainless steel and Kapton variety. Perform bonded resistance strain gage application on all alloys and composites including precise soldering of strain gage using the appropriate wire type for the test to be conducted. Perform temperature calibrations on strain gage installations. Install and calibrate capacitance probes, dynamic pressure transducers, and light probes. Perform the installation and retrieval of Uniform Crystal Temperature Sensors for the purpose of compressor blade temperature mapping. Fabricate inlet/exhaust rakes and survey probes. Complete termination of instrumentation after engine build up and prior to test scenarios. Coordinate with and support engineers on the flight line and in test cells in a timely and precise manner. Maintain records of calibration on all installed instrumentation. Manage lab procurement of consumable items via EBP and SAP. Track job progress and hours worked using Work Request System and ELC to achieve project milestones.

Collaborate with engineers on the design and construction of racing vehicles to be used in off road racing. Implement testing and tuning of completed cars using onboard data acquisition systems. Manage crew members at races and at the build shop between events. Assist in budget control for team expenses
