Aircraft Design/Fabrication: Participated in the design and fabrication of avionics, electrical, and hydraulic systems required to reproduce 5 replicas of the ME-262 jet. Fabricated wiring harnesses. Planned and coordinated the testing, evaluation, and modification of main aircraft systems. Performed assembly buildup and testing of main landing gear struts and actuators.

Aircraft Repair/Maintenance: Repaired and maintained avionics and electrical systems for private and commercial aircraft for customers in the Dallas/Fort Worth market. Designed and engineered electrical subsystems to meet customers’ aircraft specifications.

Final Phase Operations Management: Planned and managed daily production operations for the installation, repair, and maintenance of avionics and electrical systems for 40 aircraft annually. Trained, supervised, and evaluated performance of 37-49 Avionics Technicians to ensure consistent achievement of daily goals for safety, quality, cost control, and profitability. Performed final avionics/electrical interface and compatibility checks for added aircraft systems. Achievements: Revenues/Profits: Increased profitability and improved efficiency by reducing span time to 16 days from 25 days previously by monitoring, tracking, and revising installation sequences. Reduced payroll costs by reducing production staff to 37 Technicians from 49 previously. Prototype Avionics Systems: Selected by management to participate with Rockwell Collins Engineers to design and install 3 different aircraft avionics/electrical systems for IAI aircraft. Evaluated and tested prototype systems to ensure compatibility with existing aircraft systems.

Engineering Services: Selected by management to improve aircraft performance and dispatch reliability of the G200 aircraft in an expedited manner. Researched and developed innovative solutions to modify complex aircraft systems. Wrote and published technical articles identifying and explaining problematic systems and root cause. Acted as Technical Authority on Mid-Cabin Aircraft to write several service bulletins designed to facilitate specified systems modifications. Training/Staff Development: Designed and conducted comprehensive hands-on training with technical operations staff to provide them with additional technical expertise in aircraft systems and specific processes to resolve technical issues. Revenues/Profits: Increased profitability by developing and implementing technical solutions to resolve the Top Ten dispatch and reliability issues of the G200. Customer Relations: Restored customers’ confidence in aircraft reliability and performance by providing personalized technical support to customers and staffs of service centers nationwide.

Operations Managements: Planned and managed daily operations to repair and maintain avionics systems for existing service customers. Also managed installation and testing of avionics in new aircraft completions. Worked extensively with engineering to develop new aircraft avionics/systems STCs. Selected by management to serve as member on the Materials Review Board. As an A/E Technician, provided technical support for the Astra, SPX, Westwind, and Galaxy aircraft to facilitate and troubleshoot the Collins Pro Line II/IV, Allied Signal, Honeywell, Universal Avionics, and Bendix King Avionics systems. Achievements: Paris Air Show: Selected by the President to provide technical support for the first Galaxy invited to appear at the Paris Air Show in 1999.
