Robin Winslow

As of October 2017 I left full time status at NEIT and will resume teaching within the CJ Dept for the Spring 2018 quarter. I will primarily be instructing the Criminal Justice and the Media course as well as the Issues of Diversity and Criminal Justice. Both courses I developed for the NEIT Bachelor level and the NEIT CJBX programs. The CJBX program is designed to serve the student who is already working as a CJ professional. The delivery of the courses are a hybrid online format.

I am a full time associate professor in the criminal justice technology of the New England Institute of Technology. NEIT is an accredited college which affords students interested in a career within the criminal justice profession to attain an associates or bachelor level degree. Our students have participated in the Skills USA National competition and one back to back gold medals; an accomplishment that our faculty and students are most proud of. I served as the advisor for the criminal justice club which provides students an opportunity to participate in community activities as well as network with many professionals already working in the field. I have developed curriculum for new courses introduced into the program and was involved in the course development of our CJBX program. This hybrid program is developed for the working criminal justice professional. The NEIT online program was ranked by US News and World Report as one of the top ten online program for 2017.

After a 21 year career with the Coventry Police Dept. I retired at the rank of Lieutenant in January 2011. The majority of my career was spent in the patrol division. I retired from the position of administrative lieutenant responsible for the planning and career development of our agency. I was also active in the development of our department's peer support team and assisted with the coordination of the field training evaluation program. My career with the CPD afforded me many opportunities of which I continue to benefit from. I will always be proud of having served the citizens of the town of Coventry and wore the uniform of the CPD proudly.
