Mentorship/Coaching on the Injection Molding Operations. Molding: Conventional (horizontal), insert over molding (vertical). Work with technicians and Supervisors to review daily metrics and ensure a good performance of the Molding department. Process development with scientific molding principles, Mold qualification and PPAP. New product introduction, sustainment and continuous improvement. Work with vendors (Machines, molds, auxiliary equipment) to manage the Injection Molding department needs and new equipment for future projects. Budgeting expenses for the department for each year based on predictive maintenance. Work with Project Managers to ensure time line on projects is being met. Work with Engineering teams as well doing design reviews, mold flow analysis. Report of RFQ's, Capital expense requests and any other big expense for repairs and/or future projects.

Plan, directs and coordinates equipment and processes to produce high quality injection molding parts following FDA and clean room compliances. Contribute on daily management operations to ensure the expectations of production are met. Coordination on new program launches and new projects as well. Perform validation on processes and new materials with scientific molding tools such as 6 step study. Contribution on problem solving process and process improvements. Mentorship and coaching to technicians and engineers on development with a leveled and documented training plan. Create validation and verification protocols while leading execution activities. Investigate process failures and identifying root cause and work with other groups as needed to ensure timely countermeasure and sustainment. Create, modify, and improve SOP’s and work instructions. Support on process development when needed as well new material or product introduction. “Hands on” on the floor for daily basis to ensure a good performance.

Develop of processes from scratch for new molds with QC on first part Approval process meeting quality criteria. New tool validation. Process parts for general, automotive, and medical field. Conventional and insert molding (cold runner/ hot runner). Adjustments and improvements to processes with scientific Molding methods. Support with ideas for new projects (design of mold, Equipment needed, machines, labor, volume, materials to use). Create master setup sheets for each process and documented for future people training. Daily review on production schedule for current and future runs and setup equipment for next runs. Monitor process on each machine for quality criteria. Assignments of machines to each operator, and duties to Setup/mold changers. Perform maintenance and repairs on injection machines and equipment (dryers, blenders, hot runners, manifolds, Chillers, heaters). General ideas to make people work easier and continuous improvement. Mentor and training for all the crew to perform a better relationship partner win to win.

Work and monitoring process in the injection machines and ensure the quality of the product. Adjustments on the process when its required by QC assurance and-or meet the standard cycle during change overs. Run parts with reprocessed material (50 to 99%). HDPE,PP. Manage Engel injection molding machines and robots automated to make second operations (hot stamps, labels, heat transfer). Machines from 700 to 1700 tons. Certified and trained on injection molding machines and EOAT’s.
