EVP Growth & Strategy @ GreenSky®

About

I'm a general manager and operator with a track record of building and scaling consumer businesses across fintech, pet health, education, defense, and lending. I’ve led teams through growth, turnaround, and exit, driven by a focus on sustainable economics, sharp execution, and strong culture. Today, I lead ManyPets Inc., a venture-backed insurtech working to grow the market for pet insurance in the U.S. Our goal is to educate pet parents, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and build a profitable, enduring business. Before ManyPets, I served as President of CommonBond, where we originated over $5 billion in loans, reached more than a million users, and earned an 80+ NPS. I helped scale the company from a startup to one of Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Companies in the World.” I co-founded Raiseworks, an early online small business lending platform that pioneered new models for credit and regulation in fintech. Earlier, at Seabury Group, I advised aviation and aerospace clients on global strategy and operations, managing projects in Montreal, Kiev, São Paulo, and New York. I started my career as an officer in the U.S. Air Force, leading procurement, logistics, and operations teams across Europe, Northern Africa, and the Middle East. I was commissioned at UNC Chapel Hill, where I studied Economics on a full ROTC scholarship and graduated with highest honors. Outside of work, I serve as vice chair of the board at Pharos Academy, a charter school in the Bronx located near where my dad grew up. It’s a way for me to contribute to a mission I care about while honoring his legacy. Originally from New York, I now live in Chapel Hill with my wife, two daughters, and our golden retriever. I’m an F3 regular, known as “Lightweight,” and a diehard fan of the Tar Heels, Rangers, Knicks, and Mets. My current side pursuits include mastering the art of backyard sourdough, staying active, and counting down to the 2026 World Cup.

I serve as as treasurer and board member of Pharos Academy Charter School (formerly Bronx Lighthouse Academy). I'm proud to be part of an engaged, thoughtful, effective board that works collaboratively with school leadership, families, scholars, and the community to deliver on our school's mission. As treasurer I ensure we apply our financial resources to the maximum impact in achieving our mission, while maintaining strong controls and ultimately a balanced budget. We consistently balance our $12mm+ operating budget and have developed a strong financial reserve to ensure sustainability through all operating environments for our school and the families that rely on our operating performance. In the fourth quarter of 2018, in collaboration with internal and external partners, I led the team through an $8.6 million issuance of $7.955 million Tax-Exempt Series 2018 A and $650,000 Taxable Series 2018 B bonds, refinancing the original loans for the construction of our school and locking in attractive long-term financing. Pharos Academy Charter School is a K-12 education institution located in the Longwood section of the South Bronx. We are setting the new standard by rethinking how we can effectively educate our children. We challenge our educators to think outside of the box in order to prepare our scholars for our growing innovation economy. We believe in the infinite potential of our scholars and encourage them to be critical thinkers and creators.
