Riyaz is COO, Edelweiss Wealth Management since November 2020 . He joined Edelweiss in 2014 as a Managing Partner to head Sales and build one of the fastest growing Private Wealth Business. Under his Sales leadership, Edelweiss Wealth Management scaled 15x over 6 years to US$ 17 billion of Assets under Advice (AUA) and become India's fastest growing wealth business During his stint as the Head of Sales,the business has been Internationally acclaimed and awarded: • Best Private Bank, India: Global Finance (2018, 2019, 2020); Asiamoney (2017, 2018, 2020) • Best Wealth Manager, India: Asian Private Banker (2018, 2020); Asset (2017) Beginning 2020 in his new role as the COO of Edelweiss Wealth Management, he has been given the responsibility of handling key functions such as Finance, Strategy & Business Planning, Investor Relations, Risk, Legal & Compliance, Internal Audit and Company Secretarial. In his short stint as the COO he has successfully executed the PAG deal delivering on due diligence, regulatory approvals, and capital infusion. He has transitioned EWM related activities from the group He is set out to build a strong compliance culture and is responsible to the key stakeholders of EWM, the Board ,its committees, the investors and the regulators Riyaz has over two and half decades of experience in banking and financial services. Prior to joining Edelweiss, he was associated with HDFC Bank for over 15 years where he worked in multiple roles in banking with extensive experience in Asset Product and Channel management, Capital markets, Treasury and Private Banking.
