Led 15-member team of medical directors that manage provider groups in 33 practice locations. • Increased number of group providers 30% through effective, dedicated recruiting and decreased patient scheduling lag time 20% by hiring 80+ providers during tenure and improving scheduling templates. • Conducted compensation assessments and restructured compensation models to include quality and productivity incentives based on key performance indicators and industry benchmarks.

Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO)

Established relationships and networks with primary care practices as ACMO in South Philadelphia campus to improve safety, quality, and inpatient clinical operations related to hospital medical affairs and subspecialties while concurrently serving as CCO for Jefferson Health’s accountable care organization (ACO). • Boosted ranking in Vizient Inc.’s national community hospital database from 35 to 6 as ACMO by executing continuous process improvement analysis and establishing committee to ensure hospital systems met quality and safety metric standards. Presented at Vizient’s national conference on processes for achieving outstanding improvements. • Founded Medicare shared savings program ACO with 9,000 patients and successfully achieved goal to provide value-based care, reduce patient care costs, decrease readmissions, and improve quality across hospital-based and outpatient services.

Chief of Medicine- Kennedy Health System (acquired by Jefferson Health),
Oversaw safety and quality across 11 inpatient specialty departments and received direct reports from section head as Department Chair. Drove improvements in patient length of stay and throughput, credentialing, post-discharge follow-up, disciplinary action, and root cause analysis (RCA) for medical peer review and adverse event reporting. • Revamped peer review process and added multispecialty peer reviews following reports of adverse events, conducting peer reviews and RCA with all involved disciplines to ensure high-quality coordination of patient care across specialties. • Reduced readmission rates from 25% to 12% by partnering with ambulatory specialists and population health team to ensure patients scheduled and attended follow-up appointments within 7 days after discharge to stabilize medical treatment regimen.
