Petrophysics Intern

• Performed data mining, petrophysical evaluation of candidate wells and basin-wide calibration in deep-water Brazil. • Prepared a database of quality-controlled well-logs (LQCs) for eight Campos Basin wells from raw well-log data. • Performed lithology interpretation, calculated petrophysical summaries and determined basin-wide depth trends. • Developed a rock physics model after upscaling the LQC data from well-log scale to seismic scale as a part of the Quantitative Interpretation (QI) workflow. Various software including Techlog, ArcMap were used. Python scripting was used in the QI workflow.

Research Assistant

• Analyzed seismo-tectonic data to understand the motion of tectonic plates on a global scale. • Performed 4D tectonic reconstruction to understand the formation of giant porphyry and epithermal ore deposits.

• Analyzed 3-D seismic data, well log data to prepare detailed structural, stratigraphic and amplitude maps. • Performed volumetric calculations to estimate oil reserves in proven and prospective fields owned by the company. Various software including CMG, Petrel, Landmark, Kingdom were used.

Summer Intern (Geology/Petrophysics)

The internship project was a part of BP’s subsurface operating plan for 2013. The aim of the project was to find out whether the water movement in the company-owned field is lateral or vertical. Another aim of the project was to analyze the isolations and side-tracks proposed by Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) in the work over wells. Various software including Landmark (StratWorks, MapView, PowerView), EarthVision and CoViz were used.
