With a solid educational foundation in data science and technology from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, followed by completion of the Master of Engineering in Data Science program at UCLA, I bring a wealth of academic knowledge to the table. My diverse skill set includes proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C++, and R, alongside expertise in areas such as data mining, statistical analysis, and algorithm development. Furthermore, my practical experience extends to independent projects in machine learning and natural language processing (NLP), which I honed through research endeavors and internships. Notably, during my tenure at eCloudvalley, I spearheaded an NLP initiative involving text classification and sentiment analysis using TensorFlow and Amazon Web Services (AWS). At Turing Certs, as a frontend development engineer, I am entrusted with refining our product platform and official website using JavaScript (React) and HTML, collaborating closely with backend engineers and product designers to streamline our internal systems and optimize business operations. My contributions to academia are underscored by publications in esteemed journals and conferences, including IEEE ICCE-Taiwan, APSIPA, and Sensors and Materials '21, showcasing my expertise in topics ranging from coffee bean classification to expert inspection systems leveraging deep learning techniques. Presently, as a machine learning engineer at TSMC, I leverage data analysis and machine learning methodologies to forecast errors on the production line, offering actionable insights and solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Notably, my innovative approach to data augmentation using beta-VAE has not only mitigated small dataset challenges across various production lines but also yielded a significant performance boost of over 10%.
