After 27 years of service, I retired as Deputy Chief of Police of the Orlando Police Department. My career included numerous assignments and ranks which provided me with extensive experience in Patrol Operations Command, Community Policing,Narcotics, Tactical and Intelligence Commands, Orlando International Airport Commander,Chief of Criminal Investigations, Chief of Special Services and Special Operations, High Risk Incident Commander and SWAT Operator, Team Leader and Commander, Professional Standards Management, and Executive Leadership. The Orlando Police Department had a total staff of nearly 1100 dedicated employees. It was a great honor to serve with them.

In this position I acted as a consultant and advisor to the FDLE Homeland Security Task Force for our Central Florida Regional Team which consists of nine counties. This multi-disciplinary task force included representatives from law enforcement, fire/rescue, emergency management, emergency telecommunications and public health. My position was assigned to the Regional Fusion Center. As a consultant I specialized in critical infrastructure protection, operational management and public safety planning. In addition I am certified in Critical Infrastructure and Key Resource Protection, Automated Critical Information Management and the National Infrastructure Protection Plan. I have National Security Clearances for International and Domestic Terrorism and infrastructure security through the FBI, Joint Terrorism Task Force and the Department of Homeland Security State, Local, Tribal and Territorial Governing Coordinating Council.

I was appointed Police Chief for the City of St. Cloud in March, 2010. I currently command a staff of 165 personnel. The St Cloud Police Department is a full service progressive agency in a rapidly growing region of Central Florida. Serving a population of nearly 45,000 residents our agency provides Uniform Patrol Operations, Investigative Services, Special Operations, Management of the City of St. Cloud Emergency Operations Center, City Code Enforcement and Emergency Communications for Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services. The St. Cloud Police is lead local law enforcement partner of the National Money Laundering Task Force, SCIRSS. In addition, we are members of the Osceola County Investigative Bureau which specializes in narcotics trafficking. Our Police Mission is based upon professional partnerships in our community by utilizing crime reduction and Intelligence Lead Crime Strategies.
