This is a training position to learn how to operate a total box store. I have gained additional knowledge on financials, merchandising, people, investigations, and so on. In this position, I have learned how to manage salaried managers. I have put a major focus on building community relationships. I have honed my knowledge and abilities to take on a major competitor. In this position, I coordinated the New Orleans membership protection plan upon Costco entering the local marketplace.

Oversaw fresh departments for productivity, improvement, cleanliness and fresh penetration growth. Work closely with Grocery Produce Assistant Manager and produce associates for total fresh improvement and growth. Work closely on compliance, cleanliness and standards.

Oversaw sales floor presentation, productivity and Associates. Work with the Audit team to influence inventory process and shrink. Work with the maintenance team on the cleanliness and upkeep of the Club. Champion diversity, training and development, Associate engagement. Led the "I’m A Leader" training program for North and Central Florida.

Oversaw the membership and marketing programs in the Club and in the field. Was responsible for training and development of associates as it related to membership benefits, credit benefits, value of the membership, Mtracks knowledge and register knowledge. Worked with local Chamber of Commerce on re-grand opening celebration.

Oversaw high school preparatory sports entries for the major newspaper in the area. Worked with freelance reporters to meet deadlines and assist as needed. Supported senior reporters on the Jacksonville Jaguars beat.
