Paloma Baygual Nespatti

As a Marketing and Membership Intern at The Whitney Museum of American Art, I will participate in digital marketing, social listening, and tourism initiatives, while supporting member communications and data management in Raiser’s Edge. I will develop skills in Microsoft Office and MailChimp, and gain a deep understanding of marketing strategies tailored to the Whitney’s mission and values. This experience will utilise my organizational and interpersonal abilities, preparing me for a career in arts and cultural institutions.

During my time at Efremidis I effectively utilised the skills and knowledge I acquired at Karma, incorporating them into various facets of my work.

At Karma, I was a versatile team member providing support to all departments, including sales, publishing, events, and communications. My responsibilities included writing press releases, sending formal client invites, researching prospective clients as well as archiving and everyday errands.

At ITA Hospital's eating disorder department, I gained valuable experience shadowing a licensed psychologist and providing support with various daily activities. This included monitoring patients' weight and food intake, creating personalised diagnostic documents, and actively participating in focus and family therapy sessions.

During the pandemic, I leveraged social media as a vital tool for artists to showcase their work. I was hired by Kate Daudy as her Head of Marketing and social media to expand her outreach to a younger audience.
