Build a unified reporting solution which includes data pertaining to AppleCare part sales orders & backlogs, Purchase Orders created for warranty repairs & new buys for Service Parts, forecasting data from APO system to support reporting for current period and historical data reporting for trending. Currently AppleCare Material planning team generates actionable summarized reports for GSSC team to provide insight about the KBB inflow outflow, KGB inflow, backlog details purchase order status, spend forecast. These reports are currently generated using SAP Transactions in combination with excel macro. With Business Object reporting solution, we are trying to get away with the manual time & people consuming processes. GCR is the enterprise system of record for contact information. Data from various sources systems are integrated into one central contacts repository which is accessed by many downstream systems. The incoming data is cleansed; de duplicated and standardized using source specific and global rules. The transactions that don’t match the minimum data standards are discarded. The incoming data is identified for encoding type and routed through the corresponding set of mappings, PL/SQL procedures and Trillium routines for processing and stored in the core tables. Exception processing ensures that the data outside the norm is captured, analyzed and corrected. $Universe is used for scheduling the jobs in periodic basis.
