* Fall 2011-Summer 2012 Research: Systematically characterize the monoolein/water phase diagram for low temperature (below -10°C). * Summer 2012-Summer 2013 Research: Characterizing anisotropic diffusion through protein crystals for cryoprotectant and Xray-crystallography applications.

* Research project: Experimented with cancer stem cells’ ability to propagate tumors from a single cell. Used Tyr::CreERT2BrafCAPtenlox/lox mice to see whether CD34+p75-, p75+CD34- or CD34-p75- cells predominate tumor growth at various stages of tumorigenesis using CD34, sox10, and phospho-STAT1 antibodies. * Performed immunohistochemical stains on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections to characterize the immune infiltrate in mouse models of melanoma. Performed tissue culture experiments with established mouse melanoma cell lines. * Participated in Yale-New Haven Hospital Dermatology and Dermatopathology Grand Rounds * Shadowed Dr. Marcus Bosenberg MD, PhD at Yale University Dermatopathology Department. Diagnosed the tissue biopsies of 300+ patients. * Shadowed Dr. Mary M. Tomayko MD, PhD at Yale-New Haven Hospital Primary Care Clinic for Dermatology

Researched the industrialization of electrical plants in rural Southern industrial schools and their representation (or misrepresentation) in Black newspapers from 1890 to 1925.

* Responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, processing financial transactions, and stocking merchandise. Gained high level of customer service skills. * Required extensive menu knowledge to answer customer questions and make recommendations for further purchases.

Evaluated the effectiveness of school curriculums alongside principals, teachers and community members and selected new teaching material (novels, textbooks, etc.) for higher education.

Transported patients throughout hospital, escorted family members to patient rooms and assisted staff with lab sample deliveries.
