Lead engineering for DreamFactory's API generation platform, overseeing product development, deployment architecture, and technical support escalation. DreamFactory auto-generates secure REST APIs from any database — used by enterprises to eliminate months of manual API development. Currently driving the team's exploration of on-premise LLM integration, bringing AI capabilities directly into the platform for organizations that need intelligent API automation without sending data to third-party cloud providers. This builds on my work introducing AI-augmented development workflows across the engineering team, where tools like Cursor and Perplexity have measurably reduced ticket resolution times and freed engineers to focus on core product work. My scope spans the full lifecycle — from Docker-based deployment architecture and Linux infrastructure to hands-on customer support for complex enterprise integrations involving AWS, Azure, and on-prem database environments.

Built and led the technical support operation for DreamFactory’s enterprise API platform. Worked hands-on across customers’ full tech stacks — debugging Docker deployments, database connectivity (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, on-prem PostgreSQL), authentication flows, and API configuration issues across dozens of different environments. Served as the bridge between customer pain points and product engineering, translating support patterns into feature improvements and documentation updates. Developed escalation processes and mentored junior engineers on troubleshooting methodology.

Front-line technical support for DreamFactory’s API platform. Diagnosed and resolved deployment issues across Docker, Linux, and cloud environments. Developed deep expertise in REST API architecture, database connectivity, and enterprise integration patterns that became the foundation for my progression into engineering leadership.

Modernized legacy transportation management software by replacing flat-file and email-based data exchange with RESTful APIs. Built Python applications within an existing UniVerse/BASIC infrastructure and coordinated EDI integrations with external partners. Hands-on work across the full stack from database to API layer, delivering measurable improvements in data flow reliability and processing speed.

Led the company-wide Electronic Logging Device (ELD) upgrade to meet federal DOT compliance deadlines. Coordinated hardware and software rollout across 450+ tractors with zero compliance shutdowns. Built a tiered support system for ongoing ELD support and worked directly with the vendor’s development team to shape product features for our fleet’s requirements.

Provided over the phone technical support for commercial truck drivers having issues with various pieces of technology in the cab. Primary focus of support was with on board electronic logging devices. In person hardware support where needed and able.

Six years analyzing geospatial data, threat patterns, and intelligence to support operational decision-making. Delivered briefings to senior leadership in high-pressure environments. Served both part-time and full-time active duty. Developed core skills in data analysis, pattern recognition, clear communication under pressure, and cross-team collaboration — skills that directly translate to engineering leadership and technical problem-solving.

Worked in the science lab as a part time lab technician. Included lab set up and tear down, assistant teaching, hazardous material handling and inventory management. Crowning achievement was assisting the Chemistry Department in writing Organic Chemistry lab manual.
