I write posts on my blog when I have specific topics I want to discuss such as reviews, my travels or things I have experienced whilst growing up. I love having blog to express my views, opinions and stories and put them out there for people to read and enjoy. Alongside my blog I also run a Youtube channel which I upload content to weekly of things that I am doing. Having this channel and blog allows me to express my creative writing side as well as editing and video. From running my blog I have gained more developed skills in social media as I have had to set up specific pages to promote my blog. My communication skills have improved as I am meeting new people online who want to connect with me. Organisation and time management have been useful when planning content. The creativity I previously had has extended further as I have had to come up with new ideas to write about.

I have learnt how to confidently approach and talk to customers when discussing products with them. This has improved my confidence skills a great deal. I have developed my teamwork skills as I have to work with my other colleagues to achieve our work goal. I am a good team player as I work hard back of house as a team to successfully replenish the shop. I have learnt valuable skills from this role which has helped me fit in within the team. I am capable of undertaking a role with responsibility as it is key for working in a retail environment. I am reliable to undertake a variety of different jobs at once and complete them successfully. My experience allows me to be able to maintain high standards of products within the working environment to ensure the store is well presented. Also I am able to use retailing software such as tills, Excel and iPod replenishment systems. Other skills I have include time keeping, self motivation, drive and organisational skills.
Education
towers school and sixth form centre
While attending Towers School and Sixth Form Centre I took Media Studies, English Literature and Business Studies for my A-Levels. I managed to handle three subjects and divide my time equally between them, achieving results that I am proud of. As one of my modules for my Media A-Level, we were asked to create an adaptation from a book or song into a TV series or a film. This module alongside the others enabled me to expand my creativity skills and believe in my ideas. My proposal for Giovanna Fletcher's 'Billy and Me' novel into a film adaptation is linked below. Another one of my modules was to create our own music event plan and create arrangements for it to take place. This module taught me the skills of how to become a media planner and organise a variety of different things at one time. My proposal for my plan and presentation are linked below. communications
Since starting University I have had to apply skills to my everyday life that I have previously learnt from school and my part time job. My communication skills have been a strong necessity as I have needed to make new friends and get to known people. When in groups I make my place in the team by by contributing and working together equally. Organisation and time management have been more so important at University level as I have needed to keep track of work that needs to be completed to ensure I meet my deadlines. Being a punctual person has enabled me to manage my time efficiently. My drive has been applied to my course as I complete my work efficiently to a high standard as Media is my passion. The creativity skills I have gained from school have been applied to my degree and are helping me develop in my work. Activities and Societies: UNIfied
