"Losing my virginity" this one book written by Richard Branson changed my life's direction from joining the INDIAN ARMY to Business Ventures where I could taste the nectar of entrepreneurial spirit. " KUCH BADA KARNA HAI" was my slogan and tagline. "Either you join me in my construction company or support your expenses by working your way", my father said to me, the very next of my graduation in civil engineering(April 1999). After giving a trial for a few days by working in my father's firm, I realized I needed more freedom to work on my terms. He supported me with a few of his acquaintances so that I can get hands-on work experience. You should always inform about what you want in your life to the RIGHT people, who can help you get your dreams fulfilled. Always "Ask" for help! I made sure that most of my colleagues knew my dream, to start my firm and make it BIG. I got my first project through one of my colleagues (whom I had asked a year back for the project) after 5 years of gaining experience with various consultancy firms. My first project was worth 6 Lakhs and within 2 years my turnover reached 2 crores. Then I read an excellent book " Seven spiritual laws of success written by Dr. Deepak Chopra. It helped me greatly in dealing with stress and with other human beings. This is the first book I had read with clear-cut ACTIONABLES at the end of each chapter. Like: on Sundays find time and witness nature, a tree, a bird, or whatever soothes you. On Monday Law of GIVING: Practice giving something to whoever you meet on that day, if you don't have anything, you can wish good health to him/her. There are 7 actionables for each day. All the laws or actionables had a splendid effect on me, except the law of intention and desire: intent for whatever you want, sow the seed of intent, and wait for the results. I took this law to another level where I forget that NOTHING MOVES UNTIL IT IS MOVED, YOU HAVE TO ACT TO CREATE the REQUIRED MOMENTUM FOR THE RESULTS YOU WANT. This full intent for success but almost total INACTION and surrender to the present moment leads to a slow decline in my business. There were delays and losses but I was nonchalant and inactive.
