This was a week long programme shadowing a current employee on the Fast Stream grad scheme based in DCLG. I was involved in cross departmental meetings, policy review and the process of writing policy. It gave me an overall understanding of how the Civil Service is structured and the vast array work it produces. I had to complete a telephone interview as well as online competency tests to gain a place on the scheme.

Running two hour lessons in relation to the environment in various primary schools across Merseyside. Topics taught include waste management, climate change, sustainable living and the like.

I secured a place on the KPMG Spring internship programme based in Manchester. The programme included an insight into the firm and the opportunity to network with current employees, including partners and directors, as well as gaining presentation, team work and business skills and knowledge.

Activities and Societies: Member of the Geography Society, Spanish Society and the Amnesty International Society. Active volunteer with charities within Liverpool. I box for the university's A team.
